ERASMUS+ Mobility at the Faculty of Agrobiology, Natural Resources and Food, University of Life Sciences in Prague

From May 30 to June 7, 2026, professors of the Technical University of Moldova, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Geodesy and Cadastre, Dr., OVDII Maria and Dr., SÎRBU Rodica, carried out an ERASMUS+ academic mobility at the University of Life Sciences in Prague, Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources, under the coordination Ms. Vera Potopová, Professor.

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ mobility, the teaching activities were dedicated to exploring the essential role of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in areas such as land use, climate change, and associated risks. The discussions highlighted the contribution of GIS to spatial analysis, the planning ess and the substantiation of decisions based on real-time spatial data.

At the same time the mobility focused on structured institutional meetings, thematic workshops, and strategic discussions, with profesors and PhD students, aimed at strenghtening cooperation in geospatial sciences with the aim to develop joint project proposals. The activities carried out aimed not only to strengthen the academic and professional skills of the participants, but also to identify common areas of interest, intended to facilitate the development of future collaborations in the field of research and education. Also, UTM representatives participated in the activities carried out by the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Czech Republic.

Erasmus+ mobility programmes are a strategic tool for strengthening international academic cooperation, significantly contributing to the development and modernization of educational and research processes within the Technical University of Moldova. Through these partnerships, the university strengthens its integration into the European Higher Education Area, promoting the harmonization of study programs and academic practices with European standards and requirements.
